Old classics and rare pieces – the new Acne Archive store in Stockholm is a shopping oasis for hardcore fans of the Swedish cult label.
What do you do to expand the cult status of a super-hip label? For example, you open your own store, where you will be offered exclusively hot-coveted classics and previously unmarketable items. So at least the Swedes of Acne make it. With their latest project “Acne Archive”, they not only contribute to environmental protection – they also make their fans unhappy.
Recycling and secondhand are now totally announced – according to Acnes Creative Director Jonny Johansson: “Today it is very important to contribute to the preservation of our environment, so an idea behind the archive project was to reuse our clothes sensibly.” The result is the new Acne Archive Store in Stockholm, where there are not only surplus warehouse goods, but also older collections from the showrooms and even some rare samples that never made it into the production. Even those who are mourning his former favorite jeans have good chances of finding a job here.
In or out – no matter
At Acne Archive is not distinguished between new and old season, between in or out. The customers should be able to browse through the offer and be able to compile their own personal Acne trend look. “It may well be that a customer in the store combines an outfit that inspires me for my next collection,” says Johansson.
In the long term, the designer is thinking about including other brands in the archive store. Until then the store is an absolute hotspot for Acne fans and lovers of rare vintage merchandise.
